How do I become a member?

Can I volunteer at the nursery?

There are a number of different ways that people can also contribute to USN through volunteering, including at the nursery. Read more about volunteering with us.

How do I learn about growing native plants?

Opportunities to learn about growing Tasmanian natives can be gained through volunteering with the USN, participating in workshops and field days offered as part of the membership program and by joining the Growers Scheme.

USN has published the Guide to Growing Native Plants in Tasmania, 3rd Edition which is available for purchase at the nursery and at selected bookstores.

Where can I buy plants?

Our nursery at Tolosa Park, Glenorchy is open on Mondays for the public to buy plants. Large orders can also be placed by contacting us at understorey@landcaretas.org.au. Over the spring, summer and autumn we also hold Saturday sale days. Follow us on Facebook or Instagram to find out when they are being held.
