Propagate by division, by cutting the plant into 2 or 3 sections when it is actively growing, or by turions (resting buds) formed in winter. Position in high light situation but do not allow water to get too hot. Grows easily in a pond in a sunny position. Anchor in place with a stone. Suitable below powerlines.
