Flowerhead is erect and spike-like, 1-2cm long and bearing 4-12 plump spikelets.

Form
Very variable grass with branching stems. The lower stems are prostrate and rooting at the nodes, and the upper stems are erect. Leaves are 4.5cm long, with the upper surface strongly ribbed and densely covered with long and short hairs.
