Widely spreading shrub with dull dark green, very thick, somewhat fleshy phyllodes which are wrinkled when dry. Branchlets are spiny and have strong ridges.

General Notes
Described in 1997. Closely related to D. ulicifolia, but a more rigid, robust and prickly plant. Also occurs in the southern Yorke Peninsula, South Australia. Suitable below powerlines.
